School Philosophy

Marin Preparatory School offers children and their families a developmental, experiential, integrated curriculum, emphasizing academic excellence and cross-cultural learning, framed around a Spanish-infusion program.

Language infusion is a blending of the language immersion process (teaching and speaking to children, exclusively in the second language) and traditional language instruction. Infusion allows for strong growth in all academic areas while providing an exposure and mastery of the second language in a natural, stress-free manner.

Because a Spanish-infused program allows for flexibility, children receive the benefits of exposure to various language learning experiences. At Marin Preparatory, Spanish is not a separate subject, but one that is naturally part of the student’s daily activities. By integrating Spanish as a daily experience, it becomes an integral part of a child’s social and cognitive development.
