Además Program

¡Bienvenidos a Además Marin! Welcome to Además Marin!

Además Marin is Marin Preparatory School’s before and after school enrichment program. The name Además means “in addition to”; for us it means giving our students an opportunity to immerse themselves further. During Además the teachers will be communicating with the children primarily in Spanish. Beginning at 7:30, the students will enjoy story time and bilingual books, followed by morning stretch, games and outdoor play. By 8:30 they’ll be feeling invigorated and ready to start another exciting day at school!

In the afternoon, Además will offer an interactive program where the children can continue to practice their Spanish in a creative, inspiring environment. Following snack and outdoor play, begins our enrichment activity of the day. Through games, cooking, music and art we will be introducing new vocabulary, cultures and adventures! This segment will also be a great opportunity to supplement fundamental vocabulary and themes that the children are experiencing during their school day. After 5 o’clock, the children will have a chance to independently explore their imaginations during choice play and enjoy one final story, El Último Cuento, at the end of the day.
