Admissions Process

The admissions procedure for The Marin Preparatory School encompasses the following steps:

  1. Parents should participate in a group tour of the school. Click to see the latest list of our tour dates ».
  2. Application packets are available at the school when you come for your tour or will be mailed within one week to the parent’s home.
  3. Please complete the school’s enrollment application and return it to the school, with the Application Fee, by January 8, 2010.
  4. Once the school receives the enrollment application, parents will be invited to meet with the school administration.
  5. Students transferring from another school will need to have their current school complete a student evaluation form and have it sent to The Marin Preparatory School by January 8, 2010.
  6. During January and February, prospective students will be asked to schedule a two hour visit to the school, join in school activities, and participate in developmental screening or educational testing.
  7. The admissions committee of the school will review all completed applications. Decisions regarding enrollment for the 2010-2011 school year will be mailed the third week in March.
