STEM Lessons for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) is a critical component of the MPS curriculum. Our hands-on, project-based approach to these five important disciplines allows children to study them in depth and see how they interconnect. The core of the program is an inquiry-based science curriculum that integrates the STEAM elements to cover life, earth, and physical sciences, and is based on research by the National Academies (art, science, technology, and math) and the Smithsonian Institution. Our STEAM center allows students to explore and to tackle real word issues using critical 21st Century skills including collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, and risk taking.
