Coming up this week in K2, we will be working on our How-To books. We will begin our study of habitats as we delve into the rainforest and explore mountains. We will also be learning vocabulary specific to mountains and rainforests in Spanish. This week, we will be making Valentine’s to share with the children at the Children’s Hospital. In math, we will continue to practice subtraction and work on fact families. We will also be working on our project for the school auction this week. This will be another exciting week in K2!

Bringing the lessons home this week:

For Monday Night: We have talked about the word endings “IGHT” and “ITE”. Think of and write down at least 3 words that end in “IGHT” and 3 words that end in “ITE”. Please do the writing by yourself. Use your best handwriting. Use a pencil and lined paper, if you can.

For Tuesday Night: Today we practiced fact families in math. Please complete the worksheet sent home. Please use a pencil.

For Wednesday Night: Today, we talked about rainforests. Please write down facts you learned about rainforests. Please write complete sentences using punctuation. Use your best handwriting. Please use lined paper and a pencil, if you can.

For Thursday Night: Practice using “of” and “off” in sentences. Write two sentences using the words “of” and “off”. You can use both words in the sentences or use just one in each. Please do the writing by yourself and use your best handwriting. Please use a pencil and lined paper, if you can.
