¡Bienvenidos! ¡Hola! Welcome to Marin Preparatory School

We appreciate your interest in our independent school in San Francisco.

Marin Preparatory (MPS) offers an immersive learning experience in a community that balances the rigors of academics with the preservation of childhood. We’re an intentionally small school, one in which students receive personalized attention, and where your child will be recognized as an individual, not a face in the crowd.

Our program is a broad and balanced blend of progressive and traditional education, with dynamic faculty members who are experts at creating excitement, and who take pride in inspiring young minds. The MPS multilayered academic curriculum includes STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics), arts, physical education, and our own Spanish Infusion model of language acquisition. Through meaningful and authentic communication, this unique language program guides children toward language fluency while exposing them to the rich heritage of Spanish-speaking countries.

As important as academics, MPS believes that social/emotional growth is paramount to 21st Century learning. We fully support children as they navigate the developmental stages from childhood through adolescence. Caring is at our core. And we foster a collaborative approach in which respect and responsibility are integral.

MPS is also a place where teachers and parents work together. We look for families who want to partner with us through their children’s elementary years. And we make parents an integral part of our community, offering ample opportunities for them to participate in the life of the school.

Come visit us and find out what we’re about. And as you seek the best match between school and family, I share with you – “It is not a parent’s responsibility to pave the way for their children, but to provide a road map.” We believe that Marin Preparatory School is that road map. Enjoy the journey!

We look forward to welcoming you soon.
